October's One Nation Answer to Glenn Beck

Rational Nation USA

Today was the big day for progressives. Their avowed opportunity to show Glenn Beck and America the solidarity of the progressive collectivist movement across America.

For their big day they chose as a featured speaker(not surprisingly)none other than the walrus of Wackadoos that screaming emotional Mimi from MSNB George Schultz.

Of course Wacky and unoriginal George found himself dipping into the Beck well of expressions to find the words to combat the meaningful message and expression of sincerity the rally Glenn Beck put together in late August.

As to be expected the progressive collectivist media has put it's usual leftist spin on the rather Mundane and Unexciting event. Ops.. that of course is unless you are a flaming emotional non objective progressive collectivist.

Following are some select excerpts from the "land of the lost MSNBC."

Tapping into the same anger that fuels the tea party movement, a coalition of progressive and civil rights groups marched Saturday on the Lincoln Memorial and pledged to support Democrats struggling to keep power on Capitol Hill

No MSNBC, the energies are much much different. On the one hand the Beck rally was about honor and preserving liberty and self determination. The progressive3 collectivist rally was about preserving statist power concentrated in their hands.

In a fiery speech that opened the "One Nation Working Together" rally on the National Mall, Schultz blamed Republicans for shipping jobs overseas and curtailing freedoms. He borrowed some of conservative commentator Glenn Beck's rhetoric and vowed to "take back our country."

Anybody ever hear of Clinton and NAFTA?. But as I said it's all about concentrating power in the hands of the Democratic progressive statists at this point. And as the Wackadoos will readily drink from the progressive collectivist statist kool aid.

"This is a defining moment in America. Are you American?" Schultz told the raucous crowd of thousands. "This is no time to back down. This is time to fight for America."

Yup, fight for America alright. Fight to insure it completes the evolution into a total socialistic collectivist society. Similar to the European socialist states that believe as they always have that Leviathan government is better able to solve problems for the individual than they are themselves.

"They want to change this country," Schultz warned participants of Republicans.

Sorry Eddie Wackadoo, they want to preserve this countries liberties and in fact return to a proper constitutional republic.

The progressive collectivist statist left know they are losing the battle of ideas and principles. They simply fail to recognize that most of America is in the middle to middle right. They do not want Obama and his progressive statist minions to take this country to a total socialist welfare state.

They will know after November 2, 2010 and November 2, 2012.

  1. As I've said before, we can't change the minds of the wackos; the best we can hope for is to change capture the "minds" of the mindless folks in the middle.

  2. What a pathetic little rabble... Even after herding leftist from all over America and bussing them in, the crowd was only slightly larger than the Glenn Beck rally set up crew...

  3. Les,
I was planning on making a comment about Clinton and NAFTA (and Glass-Steagall/CFTC as well)but you beat me to it.Many calls were made from the left to make the affair a demand for the administration to work towards job creation instead of the pro-Democrat Party rally it became.

Unfortunately partisan politics blinds us to the reality that both parties favor Wall St and the banks over the working American.

I have my differences with you and Silverfiddle over the role of govt, which I view as a positive force when properly utilized. IMO we need efficient govt working in the public interest.Notice I say efficient, not big.Size doesn't matter, funding and direction and intent matter.

  5. SilverFiddle - I know. It is both sad s well as pathetic. But they realize they are losing the fight so I guess desperate times require desperate measures.

    So so sad and pathetic.

  6. Oso - Your comment indicates a person with an open mind as well as one who has the unique ability to OBJECTIVELY consider both sides of the political debate. Thank you7 for that my brother.

I refer you to my post this afternoon on Ayn Rand, independent conservatism, and classical liberalism.

I would be most interested in your considered take on it.
