Copenhagen and the Loonies

Image
The lets "roll civilization back to the days of a more primitive and less advanced world economically" crowd in Copenhagen. Well coordinated, and color coded signage abounds. Was just wondering if Holy Enviro High Priest Al Gorleoni is getting kick backs from sign companies. This whole movement is based on questionable science. The primary purpose is to attack capitalism at it core and set in motion gimmicks and false justifications to get wealthy industrialized countries to foot the bill for bringing up the standard of living of third world countries around the world. Sounds like a noble and righteous cause.  That is if you believe you are responsible for the soul of everyone less fortunate that you. The concept of being your brothers keeper at the expense of your own welfare and happiness. The results of the movement can can only be the leveling of the economic playing field. In other words industrialized and advanced societies lose and underdeveloped societies gai...

Freedom and the State

More Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano. Some good common sense stuff that focuses on just what America and it's citizens are interested in during these turbulent times. Apologies for this dated material (8/12) but these messages bear repeating often. More later

The Revenge

Conan O'Brian's Friday Night Live offered up an actor doing a reading from a recent best selling book authored by a politician of growing popularity. The esteemed actor; none other than the somewhat bloated William Shatner of Star Trek fame. But low and behold, an unannounced quest from the political arena showed up and provided further entertainment for the well heeled audience by reading from a book of less best selling author. And now the video clip from the exchange. And the nod for best reading performance goes to ... none other than Ms. Palin. And just for informational purposes Barrack Obama's job approval rating has slipped below 50% of late. Ms. Palin's on the other hand has increased from 39% to 46% with indications it may continue in an upward direction. Liberals beware! Via: Memeorandum Via: Los Angeles Times

Senator John Thune - Dark Horse in 2012?

Image
South Dakota Senator John Thune, a moderate conservative Republican, has little name recognition  nationally. While Palin and Huckabee are getting most of the media attention with respect to the 2012 presidential election, Senator Thune may well be a rising dark horse. Senator Thune, up for re-election in 2010, has $5.5 million in the bank and there appears to be a small but growing "draft Thune"movement taking form.  In researching Senator Thune on some key important issues he appears to have conservative bonafides with the ability to exercise reason and judgement. His formal education is in business having received his  Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. Something that would serve him well should he choose to run. Perhaps a leader with a business education, rather than that of an attorney, would actually look at issues and spending  from a cost benefit analysis and return o...

CNN Poll Shows GOP Erasing Popularity Gap In Congress

Image
With less than a year before the 2010 mid term elections a CNN poll indicates the public has divided thought on who can best lead the nation. The CNN poll released Thursday based on interviews with 1,014 Americans, shows the GOP closing the popularity gap. Forty percent of those questioned believe the U.S. would be better off with Dem's leading Congress. Thirty nine percent think  the country would be better off with Repub's at the helm. The Dem's enjoyed a twenty five point advantage following Obama's ascendancy to the highest office in the nation in January. The significant loss of this formidable advantage in so short of time is truly stunning. Of particular note is that since August support for Dem's controlling Congress has  declined fastest in the Northeast and the Pacific Rim, two of the most liberal Dem strongholds in the Nation. Quick summary of polling results: * 19% of respondents said the shape of the c...

Michael Steele Gets Heated With CNBC Commentator

The mentality of the far left wackos are a truly amazing phenomenon. CNBC commentator, Donny Deutsch got into a heated exchange with GOP National Committee Chairman Michael Steele over the Republican criticism of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's comparison of the opponents of nationalized health care to the people who tried to block the abolition of slavery. Any great change throughout history, the naysayers say 'it's not time, it's not time?' So why is that not a relevant analogy?" Deutsch asked. The exchange; Read the full text here . Why Capitalism and Libertarian Conservatism are Better Than Socialism

Food for thought. As Winston Churchill so wisely said, and I paraphrase, If not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if not a conservative at forty you have no head." We have many in the leadership of the majority party in congress that fit the later part of Churchill's words to a tee. The strugglr is worth waging.
