It requires both supreme self confidence, an unbending pursuit in doing the right thing, AND humility. The latter two qualities are lacking in both our President and many members of Congress. Our founding fathers with all their intellectual brilliance insured that the voice of the PEOPLE of this nation would be heard every two years. The power of the ballot box, gained by the valor and blood of American patriots should not be taken lightly. The dismal voter turnout of the American people in this day and age defies all logic. The right, and the privilege to elect our representatives can only be sustained by the active involvement of the American electorate.
