Now that the New Speaker is making it clear Republicans are going to act responsibly as promised on this front the question remains. Will they pursue further cuts in wasteful spending, eliminate earmarks, trim the over blotted military budget where appropriate, eliminate the influence of special interests {pull peddlers] on capital hill, reduce the over burdensome and often unnecessary regulatory oversight on businesses, look to simply the tax code... and the list goes on.
We'll have to wait and see just how far this Congress is prepared to go in righting our ship of state and putting our feet back on the path to fiscal sanity and financial stability.

Senators Reid, Durbin, Schumer, Murray and Stabenow:
Thank you for reminding us – and the American people – of the backroom deal that you struck behind closed doors with ‘Big Pharma,’ resulting in bigger profits for the drug companies, and higher prescription drug costs for 33 million seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D, at a cost to the taxpayers of $42.6 billion.
The House is going to pass legislation to repeal that now. You’re welcome.

But they're not going to repeal it. You do understand that, right? Do you understand this is just pandering, lowbrow, rabble-rousing politics, right?

JMJ - It is very necessary that conservative fiscal principals be argued and fought for. Across the board.
ReplyDeleteObamaCare was a huge costly mistake and benefits no one. Except perhaps the huge pharmaceuticals and.
Even my liberal son understands this.
My prior post stated it well.
REPEAL OBAMACARE... NEUTER THE NANNY STATE!
