In Honor Of The Approaching President's Day

As we approach President's Day this video is something Rational Nation USA believes all concerned citizens ought to think about. The early American Patriots it seems were more inclined to focus on the proper form of government as opposed as to political expediency. I could be wrong.

Please let me know if you believe I am misquided. Thank you.

  1. Rational: I’m no expert or anything but I think the concept of Congress being the heart and soul of Government and the President being the one to make sure those laws are acted upon sounds right to me. It sure isn’t like that today now is it? The rise of the Imperial Presidency seems to be alive, well and flourishing. How do we get back to the days of a George Washington Presidency and get rid of this Imperial Presidency—after all it’s been with us for quite some time and there might be a lot of people who aren't even aware that this is not what the Founding Fathers had intended!

  2. Pamela - You are quite correct with you understanding. However, the progressives throughout the 20th century, beginning with TR have pushed the idea of growing government and concentrating more power in the executive branch consistently. And the some of the "so called" conservative presidents have by and large been more than happy to play along.

Frankly it may be way to late to get back to the concept of governance that were held ans shared by the great minds that crafted our Republic. Perhaps the best we can hope for is to educate the next generation of Americans in our nations beginnings and the values and principals our Constitution was founded on.

This is likely an impossible task as academia has been taken over by progressives, socialists, revisionists, and essentially been educating children and young adults along the lines of their progressive, multiculurist, apologist agenda for sometime.

All those of us who recognize the dangers to liberty in this country can do I guess is to keep hammering home the values we know to be proper.
