A trip over to Reason TV brought the following Rough Cut video to my attention. Produced in conjunction with The Heritage Foundation it makes reasoned statements as to the unintended consequences of over government regulation.    




"While Americans across the country have been tightening their belts, the EPA has launched a video contest. The Heritage Foundation's entry focuses on over-regulation's all-too-familiar failures."


There are many perspectives on the subject of government regulations. It seems this one is based on reason where many are not.

    That's a very good video. Looks like Heritage is learning from Reason. I like Heritage, but Reason does a much better job explaining free markets.

Instead of talking about guns, Perry said, we should be talking about prescription drugs: “Also, I think there is a real issue to be talked about. More so to see Trump's reaction to his running mate's performance than the actual debate itself. tRump has undoubtedly moved presidential politics to new lows and all indications are he intends to take them lower. As I sat numbed by the realization such a grotesque and deranged act could actually occur, I could not help but to contemplate what it is that would drive a 20 year old individual to commit such a heinous crime against innocent children. Having a 4 year old grandson and a 1 and a 1/2 year old old granddaughter the events of today hit very close to home. A PEW Research Center report shows Americans trust in their government has become less positive and at the same time more partisan. Since 2015, opinions about the federal government’s handling of several major issues have become less positive and much more partisan. Yet majorities continue to say the government should have a “major role” on such issues as defending against terrorism and helping lift people from poverty. And views about government’s role, unlike its performance, have changed only modestly over the past two year.    Public trust in government, meanwhile, remains close to a historic low. Just 18% say they trust the federal government to do the right thing “just about always” or “most of the time” – a figure that has changed very little for more than a decade.  And while more Republicans say they trust the government today than did so during the Obama administration, just 22% of Republicans and even fewer Democrats (15%) say they trust the government at le...

Except for those receiving a subsidy or are getting it free. All that aside I do agree with following Moyers & Company article stating that ObamaCare is widening the gap between red America and blue America. Something needed to be done with our health care and insurance system. Most agree that the pre ObamaCare system needed some work.
