Anon,
1) I don't...
You are precisely correct:

Anon,

1) I don't care what your views or opinions. Insults with nothing else bore me.

2) I'm quite sure YOU have never read Rand. If you did it is probale you failed to comprehend the material.

3) Cult? Right. As a pot you surely shouldn't call the kettle black.

4) Blinded and brainwashed? Indeed. YOU certainly are, a collectivist marching in look step with the collectivist horde.

5) Ditto to feeling sorry for except... You indeed lack intelligence and insight. Most blind and drugged progressive collectivist like YOU do. the progressives (not collectivists) that actually think for themselves and are not drugged I'm fine with.

In closing Anon the Cowardly Asshat. You, the guy, or gal, or it that likely lives in the cellar with nothing to do all day other than find ways to be a belligerent, lying, ignorant, poor excuse for a human, you can now go away for good. And don't let the door hit ya in the a*s.
Les Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01120280762698472496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549971354391868786.post-33874370964530627932012-10-26T10:52:47.393-04:002012-10-26T10:52:47.393-04:00jmj, I seriously doubt he has. Where he comes from...jmj, I seriously doubt he has. Where he comes from (collectivist paradise) it was likely not on his reading list.

Joke all ya like jmj, progressive are damn good at it.

We have a government designed to EXACTLY what you listed jmj, and unfortunatly the very government you describe has become one of the criminals.

Value wealth, absolutely, if where the wealth came from is actually the result of work, dedication, and is productive in the sense of expanding opportunities, as in creating businesses and job opportunities for others to build security. A discussion for another day I suppose.

Well jmj, as to my retirement and yours, I'm concerned with my own and I ain't betting it. Whether I'll personally be better off with another Obama term as opposed to the alternative? Who knows at this point. Johnson is still getting my vote, as well as any other Libertarian who my be on the ballot my corner of the world. Neither Frik or Frak deserves my vote, and at the end of the day that is all that really matters now isn't it?

Les Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01120280762698472496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549971354391868786.post-88812053337568814312012-10-26T10:38:41.675-04:002012-10-26T10:38:41.675-04:00Exactly Will.Exactly Will.Les Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01120280762698472496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549971354391868786.post-5876937437759571852012-10-26T02:50:27.311-04:002012-10-26T02:50:27.311-04:00I'm sure he's read Rand, Les. So have I, ...I'm sure he's read Rand, Les. So have I, and millions of others. It's not like Ayn Rand is some obscure author.

Jon Stewart had a very funny joke about Rand, but I won't repeat it here. I got kicked off Reason's "Hit 'n Run" for making a similar joke.

There are perfectly well-informed, well-concerned citizens out there, like me, who do not accept the 'wealth=good' thing. There are good, decent, stamped Christian-approved, ways to create wealth, but there are plenty of bad ways to create wealth too, and they can be catastrophic.

We need a government to enforce laws targeting fraud, abuse, and plain ol' crime in general. The private sector regularly commits crime, and if you don't understand that, than you have never worked anywhere, or known anyone, or even just 'been around' a bit. And yet you have.

I won't get into the sycophants game about valuing wealth as rightness, but I'll tell you this; I'd bet my own retirement against yours that you'd personally be better off with another Obama term.

JMJJersey McJoneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15426560061830038806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549971354391868786.post-51711865944247111062012-10-25T23:40:23.272-04:002012-10-25T23:40:23.272-04:00And Obama closed his "heart and mind" to...And Obama closed his "heart and mind" to Ayn Rand but then opened them back up to Derek Bell?
