Isn't It Time We Have a President Again Who Accepts His Responsibility and Doesn't Pass the Buck?.../

Leadership is so much more than just having the authority to order (demand) change. It is more about these four important characteristics. 1) Vision 2) Motivating people to accept and achieve your vision. 3) Accepting responsibility for the outcome of your decisions. Good or bad. 4) Adjusting and changing course after asking for and receiving HONEST input from key people when you make a mistake.

Donald J. Trump has failed miserably on ALL four parameters of leadership. Why? Simply because he is not a leader. The Lincoln Project  points out specifically how Trump has failed miserably in acc3epting responsibility.

June 6, 2020 - The Lincoln Project today released an ad exploring how in the hours before Allied troops prepared to storm the shores of Normandy in France, General Dwight Eisenhower took a moment to put words to paper just in case their mission failed.
As Supreme Allied Commander, Eisenhower understood that if D-Day landings failed, the responsibility would be on him. He understood and accepted that fact.
The Normandy invasion led to Germany’s defeat less than a year later. Eisenhower in command, both as commander of Allied forces and President of the United States was marked by courage, responsibility and dedication to America.
“In America, ultimately responsibility for our federal government rests with the President of the United States,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “Regardless of the failure, President Donald J. Trump tells us again and again ‘No, I don’t take responsibility at all.’ ’’
“It’s time again for America to elect a leader as president,” said co-founder John Weaver.

  1. Are you seriously suggesting that senile, creepy, corrupt, 80 year old Joe Biden would be an improvement?

  2. I still have an 'I Like Ike' button. Then, starting with Nixon, the older I got, the less conservative.
For whatever reasons, the reverse of what usually happens. Eisenhower was not only experienced and
comfortable with momentous decisions, he brought from his youth at West Point the idea of service and
Duty, Honor, Country. After being cowed by his Defense Secretary, Attorney General(!) and US Chief of
Staff regarding the us of combat troops against citizens, His Orangeness must be in a deep funk, the
sole non-looozer in the whole country. Even the Godly Pat Robertson was astounded. When the pimple on
the ass of Christianity speaks-the RW Evangelicals listen. I still like Ike...

  3. LL, you've in the past written against Dems for failing to accept responsibility for mistakes they've made. This post is about that... responsibility. Does President trump have any responsibility for the way things are in the country right now, or is he, as he has said, blameless?

Or are you like the rest of the right wing rabble and just unwilling to apply your previous standard?
