What's wrong TOM? Deleted your vile comment eh? That's good, anyone paying attention to your daily garbage and lies already knows all about you anyway.
I'm guessing Luke or Luke signed in with one of his TOM accounts did not drop in to wish anyone a Merry Christmas? I think he makes it clear by his behavior that it is the same person. I mean, how unlikely that another "TOM" (all caps) would decide he also had the same grudge against RN and decide to relentlessly troll this blog? I don't get what the point is. Anyway, "Merry Christmas" as well as another full year closer to death for me tomorrow.
On this, the 25th day of December 2016 we wish ALL the best the season has to offer. And so we say Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
Regardless of where one live on this globe we all call home, regardless of our job, religious affiliation, political leanings, sexual orientation, or anything else one may think of we are, or at least ought to be, brothers and sisters in our one common attribute, We're All Humans.
he Dalai Lama reminds us:
When you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect toward others.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
When you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect toward others.
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.
Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.
We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.
The important thing is that men should have a purpose in life. It should be something useful, something good.
We hope the incoming president reflects on and understands the simple and profound truths the Dalai Lama expresses in such simplicity.
The Dalai Lama would kinda be the anti Ayn Rand, don't you think? BTW, as per the NY IntelligencerTrump described himself as an Ayn Rand fan. He said of her novel The Fountainhead, "It relates to business (and) beauty (and) life and inner emotions. That book relates to ... everything". He identified with Howard Roark, the novel's idealistic protagonist who designs skyscrapers and rages against the establishment.
Apparently many do not understand the good elements in Rand's philosophy, particularly the concept of rational self interest. That's fine as everyone has their own views and opinions. Hopefully they're based on reading, rational thought, and reflection leading to understanding.
Yeah I quickly read the Trump is the "New King" brouhaha. Simply incredible!
TOM/Steve/Luke, as we noted earlier none of your vile comments, F bombs, or other totally un-Christian blathering will be posted. As they are deleted unread enjoy your mental masturbation.
Merry Christmas Les, Shaw, Dave, Jerry, BB, dmarks, Dervish and all other visitors to this blog of merry heart and good faith! I've been playing so much Christmas music at church, I've just about had it. Just woke up from a sweet nap. The sun is shining bright after the rain. Kids are coming over for Christmas Dinner. Ham, Mac n Cheese, Banana Nut Bread, Hot Chocolate, Goodies all around.
Be of good cheer and have a strong and successful 2017.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and Seasons Greetings from the Leeward Islands. Yesterday, Saint Lucia. Today Barbados. Tomorrow Saint Kitts. An Inkredible getaway.
As you know I'm not a religious guy in the conventional/classical sense. But there is something to be said for the SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS, meaning how Christ the man taught his followers to live and treat others.
On a different note. I read about your medical issue sometime ago on another weblog. I don't know if you ever check your weblogs anymore but I left a comment there.
Our thoughts are with you Jersey and we're sure you'll defeat your adbersary. We are sending good vibes your way.

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -vs- Tyranny As the country struggles to understand, and come to grips with random acts of firearm violence by unstable and unbalanced individuals Illinois is already taking action to further regulate firearms. Like the millions of law abiding citizens I am torn between the right to bear firearms and finding the point at which it makes logical sense to restrict that right. In a modern society in which the tools of warfare are advanced beyond what the founders could possibly have envisioned, and the efficiency of modern armies are such that the citizens would stand no reasonable chance against the modern army, does the possession of semiautomatic assault weapons have any real purpose for the homeowner and sportsman? If deemed they do should they not be highly regulated and restricted to HELP reduce the incidents of tragedies like Sandy Hook? I certainly do not have the answers, nor do I believe the anti-gun crowd has the answers eith
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -vs- Tyranny The race is close, very close, with the momentum shifting to Romney. However, my take is the shift, as significant as it has been, came too late and too little. Progressives no doubt are biting their nails because as much as they prefer not to acknowledge it, this one is a real cliff hanger. Reminiscent of 2000. It is true if Obama loses this one progressives throughout the land will be wailing and gnashing their teeth. For them it will be a great undoing of their greatest hopes and dreams. Of course the other fifty percent of America will view it quite differently. So, as the polls close tomorrow, and the tabulating of the vote goes late into the night, we can be sure of a few thing... The nation will remain polarized, the puppet masters behind the curtains will continue calling the shots, the debt and deficits will continue, no mater who wins. And America will continue to ask why. Tomorrow, as I visit my polli
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -vs- Tyranny From the lame stream media, no doubt fed by the not to be trusted Obama administration, we are hearing more false spin from dutiful left wing wing nuts. The Washington Post The Romney campaign may have misfired with its suggestion that statements by President Obama and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice about the Benghazi attack last month weren’t supported by intelligence, according to documents provided by a senior U.S. intelligence official. “Talking points” prepared by the CIA on Sept. 15, the same day that Rice taped three television appearances, support her description of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate as a reaction to Arab anger about an anti-Muslim video prepared in the United States. According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault agains

( Reuters ) - Global leaders on Saturday arranged a round of emergency calls to discuss the twin debt crises in Europe and the United States that are causing turmoil in financial markets . After a week that saw $2.5 trillion wiped off global stock markets, they are under pressure to show political leadership and reassure markets that Western governments have both the will and ability to reduce their huge and growing public debt loads. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who chairs the G7/G20 group of leading economies, conferred with Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron ahead of a call planned for this weekend by G7 finance ministers and central bankers. "They discussed the euro area and the U.S. debt downgrade. Both agreed the importance of working together, monitoring the situation closely

The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States." –Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, 1787 That was then. In an interview with the Daily Times Herald in Carroll, Iowa, state Rep. Dan Muhlbauer said governments should start confiscating semi-automatic rifles and other firearms. Muhlbauer, a Democrat from the western Iowa town of Manilla, is a cattleman and farmer. The newspaper reported that he owns a .410 shotgun, a .22 rifle and a .22 pistol. “We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of th
A PEW Research Center report shows Americans trust in their government has become less positive and at the same time more partisan. Since 2015, opinions about the federal government’s handling of several major issues have become less positive and much more partisan. Yet majorities continue to say the government should have a “major role” on such issues as defending against terrorism and helping lift people from poverty. And views about government’s role, unlike its performance, have changed only modestly over the past two year. Public trust in government, meanwhile, remains close to a historic low. Just 18% say they trust the federal government to do the right thing “just about always” or “most of the time” – a figure that has changed very little for more than a decade. And while more Republicans say they trust the government today than did so during the Obama administration, just 22% of Republicans and even fewer Democrats (15%) say they trust the government at least most of th
Rational Nation USA Purveyor of Truth We'll start with the thing that will catch your attention, as is the way: Democrats who voted for the giant spending bill on Thursday night received, on average, twice the campaign contributions from the finance/insurance/real estate industry as their colleagues who voted against it. Yes folks, it's true. Money talks, regardless of party affiliation. And so we continue witnessing the purchase of influence by the wealthy and powerful. Does this register? Does it tell us anything? Should it tell us anything? Or do we simply go along to get along and be thankful things are as they are? It seems worth questioning what we view as our biggest national domestic problems. by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation U S A L i b e r t y -vs- T y r a n n y This is a day I have long waited for. A day that gives me great satisfaction. Reasoned and reasonable liberals and conservatives in a bi-partisan fashion have sent a strong and constitutionally correct signal to the President. Perhaps most rewarding for me is that these conservatives are finally acting like conservatives ought to be acting every time it comes to ordering military action against another sovereign nation. With extreme skepticism and caution. Liberals, to their great credit are "bucking" their party leader. Good news from both sides of the aisle. Perhaps the ultimate outcome will be as the President seems to favor. If the President listens to the peoples representatives , whether they give or withhold Congressional approval for intervention the people have won. Just as our Founders intended. Maybe this mood will take hold and last? Naw, not likely given the republican tendency to
