The good news is unemployment fell to a four year low, certainly at year six in Obama's Presidential tenure strikes a positive note. Or does it? At the same time the number of people employed part time rose as well as strong indications are showing the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka ObamaCare) will have a long term negative impact on the USA economy. The following is an interesting analysis and one that certainly has some credibility. DeleteMitch McConnell has admitted that Donald Trump knows very little about the serious issues facing this country, and he has said Trump needs to choose a veep who's smarter than Trump. Really. That's the majority leader of the US Senate telling America that Trump is unqualified to be president. He also said Trump should use the teleprompter more often so that he doesn't say things that get him in trouble. IOW, so that a prepared speech by someone else masks what a foul-minded demagogic know-nothing Trump truly is.

It is shameful that the majority leader of the Senate and the Speaker of the House haven't the courage of other principled conservatives.

Combined with his xenophobia, extreme nationalism, apparent lack of regard for the rule of law, and what appears to be a tendency towards white supremacy he is indeed unfit to be the president of the United States of America, IMNHO.
ReplyDeleteThat aside, he is not stupid (neither were Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Peron, etc.), just very misguided. Because it is possible Trump could be elected we should all hope he picks a very knowledgeable veep and surrounds himself with smart people that will not be afraid to criticize him when he needs. Which, as we know, is likely to be quite often.
There are I am sure many good decent folks supporting Trump. While I personally cannot understand why, given the abundance of data that leads me to believe he is unqualified for the presidency, many others think differently.
Some folks at lisa's Lunacy Lounge are simply what they are. And we both know what that is.
