Neo Con's, Republicans, and Netanyahu Claim Historic Nuclear Deal With Iran Poses Security Threat...

Rational Nation USA
Purveyor of Truth

As the American neo con's and republican presidential candidates go all goofy over the Historic Nuclear deal with Iran, falling all over themselves declaring how bad it is for America, reasonably intelligent folks will withhold judgment until we actually know the details. It appears based on what we already know this negotiated deal is by far better than the alternative; which is the use of force against Iran.

Of course Bibi, the Israeli version of the American neo con, is talking up how catastrophic this deal is be for Israel as well as the USA. No surprise there as the Prime Minister has been sounding the same rhetorical BS for as long as he has been in Israeli politics and government.

My prediction; the deal stands, it ultimately improve relations with Iran, and the world will be a safer place for it. Oh, and if by a stroke of unfortunate luck one of the republican candidates should win the 2016 election, they will do absolutely nothing to vacate the agreement.

  1. I am surprised at the number of people who have read the agreement, at least I assume they have with the pinpoint opinions. I doubt even Obama has read it much less people in the blog world.
Israel is surrounded by people who are not friends so it is understandable they feel threatened. It is like Custer, everywhere you turn someone is trying to kill you.

    2. Pluto has received many visitors over eons of time -- comets, rocks, meteorites, and our stalwart Mickey (the most intelligent life form in the solar system). Pluto has also been visited by Jatravartids, Krikkiters, Lamuellans, Magratheans, Oglaroonians, Poghrils, and Quarlvistians, among others.

The plutocrats of Pluto are known as the Snairartnoc. Just because there are no impact craters on Pluto doesn’t mean the Snairartnoc have no impact of Plutonic culture. I happen to know on good authority that the Snairartnoc want interplanetary trade with us Earthlings. You see, it is very cold on Pluto, and they would like to swap some of our global warming for some of their frozen nitrogen. A fair trade, IMO, I thought of throwing in our Republican Congress to sweeten the deal. “Absolutely not!” they said.

You see, the Snairartnoc remind me of my neighbors who think July 4th fireworks are the most sublime form of entertainment. Last weekend, my neighbors set off -- not firecrackers or cherry bombs -- but nuclear weapons that terrified and tormented the neighborhood.

The Snairartnoc like to peer through their telescopes and enjoy fireworks displays on Earth, but they haven’t seen anything noteworthy since Hiroshima, Nagasaki, or Bikini Atoll. The Snairartnoc tell me, Republicans are the impresarios of earthbound entertainment, and they (meaning the Snairartnoc) want to keep them (meaning Congressional Republicans) right where they are. So when nuclear bombs start falling on the Mid East, the Snairartnoc will be looking back at Earth through telescopes, saying:

      [Kaboom] “Oooooooooooo!
      [Kaboom] “Aaaaaaahhhhh!

  3. " I doubt even Obama has read it..."

This commenter obviously did not watch Obama's press conference where he answered in exceptional detail the questions thrown at him. Even his detractors gave him props for his comprehensive understanding of the agreement. But skud would not be ole skud without throwing partisan bombs at the president. If skud thinks it's a bad agreement (without the benefit of knowing anything detailed about it), that's an opinion that he's welcome to. But speculating on whether Obama "knows" what's in the agreement is pure b.s., the kind our friend skud likes to inject in any discussion involving President Obama.

    Yawn.

    1. Understanding the highlights and reading a very lengthy document are very different. You do remember that no one had read another large document, including presbo, and passed it anyway so they could see what was in it.

No one ever doubted a deal would be struck. The question remains is what did we get VS what did we give.

Agreed, including the part where you say it would be unfortunate for a Republican to win the White House. Which means you must think that it will be (at least) less unfortunate when Hillary Clinton is elected? Perhaps it also means RN is going to do his part to stop a Republican from getting elected... by casting HIS ballot for Hillary?

  5. Les has a lucky political conscious this election - he can vote for a third party libertarian candidate and the worst thing that could come of it would be the lesser evil. Who knows, one of these days maybe we'll have a real liberal option so our political conscious can get a break for a change!
