A Insightful Young White Man Stirring Controversy or Just Making Valid Observations?...

Liberty -vs- Tyranny

A young freshman at Georgia Georgia State has started a White Student Union to celebrate Euro and Euro-American heritage and culture. White students make up 38% of the student body and Patrick Sharp is of the mind that whites (being a minority), as well as students of other ethnic backgrounds and cultural heritage should enjoy the same right of association as the rest of the students do in their Student Union organizations. The young man has a valid argument. Excerpts from The Raw Story.

“If we are already minorities on campus and are soon to be minorities in this country why wouldn’t we have the right to advocate for ourselves and have a club just like every other minority?” Sharp told the paper. “Why is it when a white person says he is proud to be white he’s shunned as a racist?”

“You know, to say this is some closeted or curtained white supremacy, it’s pretty — and I’ll go ahead and turn their words around on them — it’s pretty ignorant and closed-minded,” he explained to WXIA. “It’s a pride organization, it’s a cultural organization, what we have is not hate for any other group… Whites are becoming a minority… We have a voice, we’re unique people, and we have every right to make that voice heard.”

Video from WXIA, Aug. 1, 2013.

Will this young man's beliefs and actions spur honest and open discussion as it well should or will it be ignored? Or even worse, used by the race hustlers Sharpton and Jackson et all to fuel controversy and their agenda? Via: Memeorandum

"The young man has a valid argument."

So you are trying to be a race hustlers?

Your slogan can be, "We-uns of the KKK are not anti-anythin', we be just little ol' pro-white victims...."

    Sheese ...

    1. Ema, Ema, Ema, reread the post, listen to the young man again, read the Memeorandum linked article and we'll talk.

Reflect too, if you can, on why I might have tossed in the hustlers Sharpton and Jackson...

  2. I see no problem with white students having a club(?) to advocate for themselves. They come from a different vantage point though, they have not been the group discriminated against for 100's of years. That will change when America is no longer a white majority country, so they should be getting started now.

    1. Anon: show me one person who has been disciminated against for hundreds of years.

Are you the same anon who talked about individuals on the Suprme Court for 200 years? Probably.

So now you want to play like _you_ have been discriminated against because of your race!? Oh you pwor widdle wictims. The white students club is known as the KKK.

"... they have not been the group discriminated against for 100's of years."

Try getting this through you noggin, USA is no longer a white majority country; doubt if it ever were. Playing the victim card is so "manly". Cwy me a wiver.

    3. Ema said: "So now you want to play like _you_ have been discriminated against because of your race!?"

This discrimination is true any time a white person applies for a job at a place with affirmative action and is denied a job. Because, after all, these AA policies explicitly demand such discrimination. (look, for example, at the University of Michigan law school admissions, which award different levels of preference points based on a person's skin color). If these policies are in place, it logically follows that people denied opportunity by them are victims.

"The white students club is known as the KKK."

I looked it up, and found not find that name being used by this club at all. Nor could I find any connection between this club and the KKK. You might as well have said that the white students club was called Monty Python's Flying Circus for all the truth in your claim.

    4. I guess you missed the word group, or are you saying there has been no discrimination in America ever?

    5. I did notice the word group, and I see you are the one who uses it to generalize and bash people based on their skin color.

"or are you saying there has been no discrimination in America ever?"

That is SO far off topic. Do you have any evidence that this young man is involved with discrimination?

Or are you on the same silly mindset when you were talking about Supreme Court justices with 200 year lifespans, and your paranoid conspiracy theory involving a certain East Coast college athletic conference?

    6. I never said this man was involved in discrimination. Don't know where you got that. Try again when you are sober

    8. Cute, prove you wrong, and you insult.

    9. You didn't prove me wrong. You make indefensible, racist statements like "whites... have not been the group discriminated against for 100's of years." Racism is never correct. Only an ignorant bigot would say something like that. And it starts with making broad generalizations baed on "race". What a moron...

    10. Anon, I know you have a tendency to use careless unintellectual blanket racist statements. Your statement has the exact same character as someone who says that as a group blacks tend to be criminals. Yet, being a racist, you don't recognize this fact. Your blinders of prejudice are on.

More facts that will blow your generalization out of the water (and destroying ANY generalization used by racists is so easy, necessarily so): just ponder the plight of the white-subgroups of Jews, as a whole, and of the Irish, as a whole, and of the Ukrainians as a whole. Match it to that of African-Americans.... Do some thinking.

Because that crap has a certain history in Georgia. Duh !!!

What does this young man specifically have a history of, Ducky? Anything? Anything at all?

You won't come up with one thing.... and it is quite apparent that you aren't judging this situation by the merits of the arguments and points, but by the man's skin color. Racial profiling and prejudice.

  4. ? When was the last time that Ema made a comment that didn't contain KKK in it?
