Bias or Coincidence?...

Guess Who the Arrogant One Is...

Tuesday night's debate between the two presidential candidates was, beyond doubt, a better night. Particular for Obama. There was no question but what he at least had hot blood cursing through his arteries and veins.

Whether it is coincidental or not is of course subjective, but the numbers clearly show a tilt in response time favoring the democratic candidate.

National Review - If you want more time to get your message out in debates, it’s good to be a Democrat.

According to the CNN debate clock, President Obama spoke at greater length than Mitt Romney during both debates, as did Vice President Biden during his debate with Paul Ryan. In the first debate, Obama spoke for 3 minutes, 14 seconds more than Romney — which means he got 8 percent more talking time than Romney. In last night’s debate, Obama spoke for 4 minutes and 18 seconds longer than Romney, giving him 11 percent more talking time. Obama talked for 52 percent of the time when either man had the floor, while Romney talked for 47 percent.

During the vice presidential debate, the gap wasn’t as wide: Biden spoke for 1 minute, 22 seconds more than Ryan. Still, that gave Biden 3 percent more speaking time than Ryan.

Combine the above statistical data with the fact that candidate Romney gets interrupted a bunch more than the President one has has to question just why that is. Yes?

  1. I watch Candy Crowley a lot (and, no, I'm not a chubby-chaser) and have always found her to be fair. But last night she really did bail out Obama on that Libya question big time. Hell, I even think that Obama was caught off guard by it.

  2. I'll tell you first, Les, what I think of all the debates after the last one. But I'll give you a clue: rad

I'm looking forward to the next debate. ;)

  3. The process is unfair!
    He got seconds more time.
    The polls are fixed.
It's the medias fault I'm losing.
    Etc., etc.

    The false cry of losers.

    1. No, MY candidate was not allowed in the debate.

Your candidate got a tie at best. Explains YOUR nervousness.

Do I care? NO. My candidate will still get my vote.

      Toddles...

    2. Romney (your candidate) was in the debate, but I can understand why you think he was not given his poor showing. No one believes you when you say Romney is not your candidate. Your words prove he is.

    3. What you, or anyone else chooses to believe is their business. Frankly, I could not care less what your opinion is. My words, had you ever choose to read my criticism of Mittens refutes what you say. But again, I don't give a rats as* what you say.

I will vote for Johnson. If it makes you feel superior to continue your childish misrepresentations and claim you know what I'll do by all means go ahead. I will just continue to laugh my as* off at your ignorance.

  5. I'm not so bugged over who got more time. These things ebb and flow, and for a moderator to try to balance it equally would be almost impossible.

I like Candy Crowley, but she made a mistake jumping in on Obama's side.

I too am looking forward to the third debate. Mitt Romney in two debates has erased the hundreds of millions of Obama ads painting him as an evil bajillionaire who isn't just satisfied with putting men out of work, but wants to kill their wives as well.

America has seen him without the Obama propaganda filter, and they like him. I think ( and I say this cautiously) Obama is toast.

    1. I wouldn't go that far Silver. Romney is in a difficult spot. He cannot afford even a slight slip. That and he must come on strong and present factual information that the "fact checkers" cannot refute. You know the progressive spin machine will in overdrive. You were right when you predicated it was going to get ugly. Watch the progressives after the third debate if Romney has a good night.

For me it continues to be Johnson all the way to the ballot box. Neither of the "lesser of two evils" will get my vote.
