It is that time of year again. Sunny skies, beautiful warm days and cool nights. Especially so in the north country. So, me and the ever lovely Mrs. Rational are heading up north to enjoy some relaxing quality time as well having fun with our grandson. Funny how that energetic dynamo can make grandpa and grandma feel young again. Life is wonderful, and certainly there is a time to put politics aside for the really important things in life. And so we do.

The good news is unemployment fell to a four year low, certainly at year six in Obama's Presidential tenure strikes a positive note. Or does it? At the same time the number of people employed part time rose as well as strong indications are showing the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka ObamaCare) will have a long term negative impact on the USA economy. The following is an interesting analysis and one that certainly has some credibility. AEI - US job growth in April beat economist expectations as nonfarm payrolls rose 165,000, and the jobless rate fell to a four-year low of 7.5%. But the report contained worrisome signs that President Obama’s health care reform law is hurting full-time, high-wage employment. ( CNN ) - Artur Davis, the former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama, said Wednesday that Vice President Joe Biden was propagating "racial viciousness" when he said Mitt Romney's regulatory policies would "put y'all back in chains." Biden made the comments Tuesday to a predominantly black crowd in Danville, Virginia, a city with a long history of racial tension. When "their side" has nothing of substance to offer, and they known it, posters such as the one below become popular. Such posters are considered intellectual by the teabag folks on the right. To be balanced such posters do find their way onto left-wing weblogs. The difference? Posters on left-wing sights generally carry a valid message and the commentary factually supports the message of the post. Some random commentary from the tea-publican weblog follows. Frankly given the crop of malcontents and loonies(Christie doesn't fall into that group but he has shot himself in the big toe) that seem to be getting attention in the GOP it appears unlikely. His last uttering in and of itself is enough to deny the man, and I use the term loosely in this case, another term as President.
