As the Arab Spring Continues..;.

Rational Nation USA
Liberty -vs- Tyranny

As The Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi was official declared the winner of Egypt's presidential election the Obama administration extended it's congratulations through Press Secretary Jay Carney.

This against a back drop of Islamic tolerance and love. Note; the video starts automatically. Be sure to read the captions as the multitude is chanting and the cleric declare Jerusalem is their goal.

Things are looking much worse for the only rational democracy in the region... Israel.

    1. Yeah, I've been over and read the post. Still contemplating the content. As usual, being the strong advocate of Randan brand individualism that I am, I have some thoughts floating around in the grey matter.

Wonderful thing about philosophy is there is always time to stew the meat just a bit longer. Wouldn't you agree Griper?

  3. yup, sure is. that is the beauty of philosophy. there cannot be a perfect philosophy therefore always taking us deeper and deeper into it.

  4. I'm growing more and more tilting toward Rand. Or acceptance, anyway.

I thought about it and realized that if you looked at the worse atrocities of human history, the vast majority were caused by strong government, rather than weak government / implementation of Objectivism/libertarianism/etc.

    1. I was introduced to Ayn Rand when I was a sophomore in high school by a literature teacher. She was brilliant and without advocating acceptance of Rand's philosophy of Objectivism she understood the positive impact of Rand's ethical and moral philosophy properly understood and applied.

Over the next 30 years of my life I read everything I could find on Rand and Objectivism.

I will be forever thankful that I has as brilliant of a literature teacher as Mrs. Halikas. She was Greek I believe. Go figure.

  5. I'm not sure where you get "rational democracy" when it comes to Israel. There's a lot about Israel that is not very "rational" at all, especially when it comes to the old Occupied Territories.

    1. And so, do you believe the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt is a rational democracy?

A very dangerous region of the world just got more dangerous. And some of the melon head liberal seem not able to understand that.

    2. JMJ said: "especially when it comes to the old Occupied Territories."

      What specifically is irrational?

  6. To all of the people who predicted that this wouldn't happen (the Muslim Brotherhood prevailing), they say what now?
