More Hyperbole From Climate Change Environmentalist(s) Activist...

Liberty -vs- Tyranny

The environmental wacko's, in typical fascistic form weigh in on global warming and climate change, calling for "making the skeptics pay" for daring to question questionable science.

Infowars.com - “Let’s start keeping track of them…let’s make them pay”

Writing for Forbes Magazine, climate change alarmist Steve Zwick calls for skeptics of man-made global warming to be tracked, hunted down and have their homes burned to the ground, yet another shocking illustration of how eco-fascism is rife within the environmentalist lobby.

Comparing climate change skeptics to residents in Tennessee who refused to pay a $75 fee, resulting in firemen sitting back and watching their houses burn down, Zwick rants that anyone who actively questions global warming propaganda should face the same treatment.

“We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies. Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay. Let’s let their houses burn. Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands. Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices,” writes Zwick, adding, “They broke the climate. Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?”

Just wondering. Could this constitute "hate speech" and warrant a federal investigation?

  1. I pretty much echo what Bjorn Lomborg says on this one, Les. Yes, there's global-warming and, yes, it's a problem but let's not go off all half-cocked and destroy the western economy by spending trillions of dollars to reduce the earth's temperature by .2-.3 degrees. I mean, we really gotta be careful here, I'm thinking.

    1. You're thinking correctly. Indeed correctly. Man made climate change is insignificant really. But that doesn't make Al Goreleoni wealthy now does it?

  2. People forgot that lakes use to catch on fire. In one part of Cleveland in the 70's Slavic Village use to have thick coatings of soot on the houses, cars and streets.

  4. Why do people use extreme examples, and then try to infer this is what all people who think doing something a better, more efficient way, are.
This guy (Zwick) is a terrorist; and I don't accept that all who want a cleaner planet, are.
It's not a question of who made the mess (to deny humans are at partial fault shows low intellect) it's a question of, are we going to do something to make it better? We can't control nature, we can only control what we do. So what would you suggest we do?

    1. Humans are but a small parry of climate change, albeit to say they have no part is foolish.

Reasonable and rational people have no issue with recognizing this and accepting incremental, gradual, sensible solutions based on reasonable verifiable science. As the science drives technology we can and should take steps to improve and protect our environment. But not break the bank in a headlong rush to assuage the straw man that is human guilt

As to Zwick, he may be a enviro terrorist. He is definitely an ass.

  5. Is the globe warming? Probably. Do we play a role? Possibly, but until they can explain how this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbsURVgoRD0

happened without benefit of the the internal combustion engine and the burning of fossil fuels, at a time when the human population of the planet was a fraction of 1% of what it is today, logic would dictate that we're looking at a natural and cyclic process. That being the case, we are as likely to have all the success in legislating its halt as Canute had with the tide.

  6. \\ Fascism
    a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
    b. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.
    2. Oppressive, dictatorial control.

Eco-fascism. Is it really so? Is it “Eco-fascism, or “Fossi-fascism”? I think the latter : If the fossil fuel industry buys the politicians (currently most of the GOP) as their “fossil tools” so that the environment worsens (as the record amply shows) leading to more floods, droughts, wildfires, loss of fish and coral reefs in our oceans and streams, wildlife on the land, etc. etc. etc. who is oppressing whom? And is this political oppression (no one voted for the Koch brothers) not a form of socioeconomic control?

And, are we not “fossil fools” to fight the very scientists trying to warn us before it is too late? Yes, we are. Like abused spouses, we continue to protect our abusers. We repeat the same tired half-truths of denial. We are the “fossil ghouls"

  7. There were times in Earth's history when the Earth was even warmer than today. Was it the pre-Cambrian?

However, due to warmer times, there were no vast ice sheets anywhere and the ocean levels were 70 meters higher, due to more water in the ocean and thermal expansion. One third more of our land mass was under water. It may have been changes in tilt or orbit at that time; now the cause of warming is increases of CO2. Tilts, orbits, sun intensity, etc. have been checked and ruled out.

I don't think we should return to those conditions.

    1. Forty years ago the cry was the " Ice Age is coming".

Do you think perhaps that Europe as far south as the Alps and Pyrenees, and North America as far south as the Ohio covered with a mile high ice sheet is a preferable alternative?

The problem with all of these models is that they are only as good as the data we input, and we don't know what we don't know.

  8. It's not hate speech when it emanates from the left.

Will: Thanks to the Ecology movement raising awareness, state, local and the federal government took some needed steps to clean up our environment, and I thank God for that.

Climate change is a distinct issue.

So, if this is so I suppose I have achieved my ultimately goal when I begin blogging almost three years ago. ;)
