  1. You should rent, "When You're Strange," a pretty good documentary of The Doors narrated by Johnny Depp.

  2. Why do I hate Progressives? In short it is because they are pussies at heart. Pardon the use of gendered speech but I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase it. Ball-less sacks of shit, completely without back bone, cowards, I mean none of that actually captures the essences of what the Progressives actually are. Here is why... the Stimulus numbers are in. 2.5 million jobs created. Wow. Not saved and created that number is going to be around 4-5 million. According to the NYT the chief Obama hater in America, 2.5 million jobs created.
What should this news do for progressives? It should inform them that the President was right, first. Second it should have them screaming IN YOUR FACE to the GOP. The dems should be on every radio station, ever TV station, every print media source, ever blog, screaming and yelling in your face to the GOP. This should be the narrative in the House. NOT ONE GOP VOTE. All caps because I am yelling it on Hardball tonight and if you don’t yell Chris Mathews talks right over you. Not one vote! is what I say on morning Joe and Fox and Friends and every CNN show all day long. I slam the GOP. We get the credit for the jobs because not one single GOP hack voted for the stim bill in the house. "They wanted you to fail America," we should be screaming at the top of our lungs. "They were rooting for you to lose your job and never find another one. They were rooting for you to lose your home, for your kid’s schools to lay off teachers and double class sizes, their kids all go to private schools what do they care?" We should be yelling this from the rooftops, "Obama was right, about everything. It worked it worked it worked," and they should buck the fuck up and waive through the senate health care bill because once again Obama is right. They should swallow their misgivings about his leadership and do exactly what he fucking says because he told them the stim bill would work and the progressives turned on him they bailed on him and the reason we are stomping the GOP right now is that health care didn’t pass. Pass it. Give the senate exactly what they asked for and then do the public option in reconciliation. But the dems aren’t going to do that, the Progressives think they know better than the president. They think they will pay a price with progressives if they pass a less than perfect bill. Well, once again they are wrong. I hate progressives because when we had a chance to jam the GOP for 2 years we panicked and gave up on the President after 4 months. I hate progressives because as a movement we have absolutely no satchel at all or we’d be taunting the GOP about the stim bill instead of letting Rachel Maddow do it for us.
Every time someone like me stands up to the misguided policies pushed by you "progressives," you call it "hate or racist" This only shows how shallow minded you all are esp you who throw around your BLAME on Bush etc, etc, and etc.

  3. First of all I believe that the post above me was written by a nut.
But the title of his or her post is interesting. Interesting enough for me to elaborate on.
The liberals for some reason other live in la-la land and have some utopian dream. Yes the Blame Bush game that is played by the progressives blogs we read is nothing less than disgusting, and hateful.
They *hate* America and everything that this country stands for. After reading the blogs that the progressives write and the language that they use I have nothing but distaste for them all. Why the author of this blog continues to post on their blogs and be insulted time after time is way beyond me. .
How anyone can say that Obamacare is not a communist version of universal health care is just lunacy. I see the people on the left constantly holding their hands out ..
I see the people on the left wanting to silence anything that us real Americans cherish. And frankly, I'm fed up with it all.

    1. "Why the author of this blog continues to post on their blogs and be insulted time after time is way beyond me. . "

Well Dave I will respond to your statement.

      A) While I happen to be a "classical liberal" and advocate for Objectivism (Ayn Rand's philosophy) I do not hold that all liberals are haters of America. Nor do I believe all liberals are stupid and irrational. If I believed that I suppose I would have high disregard for the founding fathers as they were not only liberal and scientific they were radicals of their time. As in "classical liberals.

      B) It is comfortable to run only in circles you totally agree with, yes. But what exactly is to be gained by doing so. Some of the most brilliant minds were liberals. John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, James Madison, Thomas Paine, I could go on. My point is it is quite likely that they would all be rolling over in their graves (were that possible) at the Patriot Act, our interventionist foreign policy, crony capitalism, judicial activism, the lack of observing the 1'st amendment, and the list goes on. All of which republicans and many conservatives are quite guilty of engaging in.

      C) The republican party today is as much a danger to out individual liberties and civil rights as those things you rightly are concerned with in regards to the progressives and the extreme left. The trick is to identify those progressives that have the ability and desire to be reasonable, rational, and objective. We don't have to agree with all they believe to be the right solutions to our problems, nor do they with all of ours. But we should at last listen to and give sincere consideration to all views. Consider this... no one lives in a vacuum, at some level we need to begin working together to find solutions that work. Without destroying our republic. It can be done.

      D) I am more concerned with seeing conservatives, libertarians, and classical liberals work to put worth ideas that can work to help resolve the problems of 21st century America. We must keep in mind as well that we are a diverse nation with ideas as diverse as our population. (Bear in mind I am referring to the legal inhabitants of our nation, those who are here illegally should have no say in our affairs, either state or national.)

      E) I am a fiscal conservative and a social libertarian. As much as we need to begin a process to get our out of control spending tamed I realize that while we cannot cure every social ill by expanding forever entitlements I realize as well we can no longer be the the world policemen, nor should we be. Balance is what is needed. Sadly balance is what is lacking.

Yes we need to be concerned with self reliance, with living within our means, with finding a way to control our borders, ending the corporate welfare and crony capitalism, we must find a way to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and we must do it by working together as Americans. Individuals, businesses, and government in partnership, not with the government as regulatory overlords choking business and individual entrepreneurs.

We need to return to capitalism, one which grows the middle class. Something the republican party has failed to do. While I lack belief the democratic party has the answers (it's why I'm voting libertarian)I sure as I writing this know the republicans don't either.

So in summary, while I'll always advocate for classical liberal principles, capitalism, Objectivism, social libertarianism, fiscal restraint, sensible social programs I will do it by considering and engaging with others that don't think just like me.

Either this nation and its people find the path and will to turn and back away from the abyss together or we shall surely enter the abyss. Together.

    3. I will most certainly consider this possibility. When I return to active posting. Well, if I see a point in returning to active blogging again.

You see I enjoyed the fray, until I realized there are enemies of liberty all around us. Conservatives, especially socons, and republicans in general are as anti liberty as are the Obamites.

  4. To all my Republicans and Conservative friends. Think of this! Republicans and Conservatives CANNOT afford to "stay away" from the polls come November, or
The Dog-Eater WILL be President AGAIN!

    Think about the SCOTUS!

You shouldn't have no argument, sno reasons, not even a half-witted attempt at rationalization to disagree with this.

    1. What your conservative and libertarian friends need to do, as well as mine is to start thinking outside the box and coalesce around a man that will engender real meaninful change. Gary Johnson.

And so do democrats need to do the same.

  5. Yea, Obama "created" 2.5 million jobs... But he destroyed 4.3 million, so some quick math says he's still 1.8 million jobs down, on track to be the first president in the history of the republic to be a net job loser.

Let's go shout that from the rooftops and watch the gargoyles in the press try to spin it for their hero.

    1. Well Silver, can't argue with the raw numbers. Only playing the devil/'s advocate here... If Obama is reelected would it be reasonable to consider that if "he created" 2.5 million jobs in just over three years that he "might create" another 2.5 million jobs before the end of a hypothetical second term thus he would leave office with a net gain of 700,00 jobs over a 8 year time frame?

Of course that likely doesn't keep up with the number entering the job market. Likely many of the jobs will be "less than full time" and low paying. But a net gain nonetheless.

      Now back to reality.

  6. Please yell you Liberal "fiends" that their Night in shinning armor, didn't do diddly as far a contributing to the eventually killing of Bin Laden The entire intelligence that led to this raid begun way back in George Bush's administration, with the "dreaded" Waterboarding the same Waterboarding they they ALL wanted to be stopped because heavens to Betsy it was Cruel and unusual Punishment! But that's how they got the original information needed for that raid, and it carried out by none other but the Navy Seals doing the job that they do so well..
So for Obama to be so proud to say that HE gave the order for the raid is strictly political.
All Obama did was take credit for it. The implication of him being responsible is hog wash.

  10. Funny, a president is given so much credit, or blame for things he really has no control over. But what else can Dems and Reps have an honest debate about? People are not interested in an honest debate, just a scream match. Negativity works, and it hurts. Americans love a good useless fight.
