Rick the Frothy One

Once again the Frothy One proves his ignorance of the Constitution as well as uttering foolish and ridiculous remarks. This time referring to JFK's speech with respect to the separation of Church and State... "“makes me want to throw up.”

Politico - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum says the notion of religion not playing role in politics “makes me want to throw up."

"To say that people of faith have no role in the public square? You bet that makes me want to throw up. What kind of country do we live in where only people of non-faith can come in the public square and make their case? That makes me throw up. And that should make every American [throw up]," Santorum said on ABC's "This Week."

The former Pennsylvania senator was referring to John F. Kennedy’s famous 1960 speech that argued religion should be separate from politics. "I don't believe in an America where the separation between church and state is absolute," he said.

You're too easy Frothy, and you sure as hell are more than a few cents shy of a dollar bill. Here is what JFK said in his 1960 speech.



Frothy you certainly don't hold a candle to JFK. Not even close.

    JFK had it exactly right. It seems to me that Santorum is trying to conflate two issues, to muddy the water.

    I love the way he conflates Jefferson's wall of separation to "people of faith have no role in the public square," as if any of Santorum's detractors would ever even want to make such a ridiculous demand. I mean, I'm liberal. Really, really liberal. And I'm an Atheist. A real, live, lifelong atheist. And I would NEVER say "people of faith have no role in the public square," nor would anyone I respect.

    Santorum's just such a goofball. Obama's going to have a hard time keeping a straight face with this crazy idiot if they wind up debating. Sure, he had a few reasonable positions back in the day, but he's moved so far to the right, and with the House more conservative then ever, it's just too risky to a put a right wing populist in power. Moderates and independents would win it for Obama, given such a choice. Paul would stand a better chance, were it not for world banking and war machines, who would immediately turn to Obama.

    AGREE completely with Mr Santorum! Now let us have 'the Church' in USA open all their books to complete government scrutiny. Before 'the Church' appoints ministers and leaders, they must require said Ministers meet minimum government established standards and be USA citizens. The government will pre-approve all Church sermons and audit moneys given to 'the Church.' Need one also remind 'the Church' that USA will expect taxes, taxes, and taxes!

    Nope USA don't need no separation of church and state.

The good news is unemployment fell to a four year low, certainly at year six in Obama's Presidential tenure strikes a positive note. Or does it? At the same time the number of people employed part time rose as well as strong indications are showing the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka ObamaCare) will have a long term negative impact on the USA economy. The following is an interesting analysis and one that certainly has some credibility. AEI - US job growth in April beat economist expectations as nonfarm payrolls rose 165,000, and the jobless rate fell to a four-year low of 7.5%.
