Michael Savage Puts His Money Where His Mouth Is

Rational Nation USA
Liberty -vs- Tyranny

Rational Nation USA, as regular readers of this humble site likely realize, is no advocate for the divisive, hypocritical, and disingenuous politics of one Newt Gingrich.

Micheal Savage has just put up one million dollars which will be paid to the Newt {or so Savage's ad claims} if Newtie pulls out of the race.

Savage of course realizes, correctly so, that if Newt is the republican {neocon} nominee Obama waltzes into his second term and not much will change.

The Savage ad:

SAVAGE OFFERS GINGRICH $1 MILLION TO DROP OUT OF THE RACE -- WILL ANNOUNCE ON SHOW TODAY

(SUBJECT TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE EXPRESSLY STATED BY DR. SAVAGE, INCLUDING GINGRICH DROPPING OUT WITHIN 72 HOURS OF TODAY)

THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL FIELD HAS COME DOWN TO TWO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE A REAL CHANCE OF GETTING THE NOMINATION: NEWT GINGRICH AND MITT ROMNEY. WHILE IT’S TRUE THAT ROMNEY IS NOT AS STRONG A CONSERVATIVE AS MANY WOULD LIKE HIM TO BE, THE MOST PRESSING ISSUE BEFORE AMERICA TODAY IS DEFEATING BARACK OBAMA. AND THAT IS SOMETHING NEWT GINGRICH CANNOT DO. FOR WEEKS ON MY SHOW, I HAVE ENUMERATED THE REASONS WHY GINGRICH CANNOT SUCCEED IN AN ELECTION AGAINST OBAMA: {Read the Rest}

Savage is of course correct. However, there is another alternative. One that disgruntled Democrats could live with if, and when the media begins giving the proper and unbiased coverage to the candidate. And it is not Mitt Romney.

To beat Obama will require the coalition of conservatives, independents, and disgruntled democrats. All of whom are tired of politics as usual and want real change.

The only candidate that is offering a fundamental, and proper change in national direction is Ron Paul. He is the ONLY candidate that makes sense for those desirous of limiting governmental excess, throttling the Federal Reserve, and controlling the unbridled growth in the MIC as well as the nations trajectory towards increasing involvement {both financially and militarily} in situations that are not our business.

The future is up to the American people. The choices are stark. Soundbites do not give the true picture. Choosing the establishment republican or the establishment democrat will, when all is said and done yield the same eventual outcome.

Indeed it is time for real change. The question is... "Does the American Electorate Have the Knowledge and the Will for Change?

2012 will give the answer to that critically important question. Ultimately the people are responsible for the course the nation takes.

It is time to begin thinking outside the box, is it not?

  1. Remember what Michael Savage once said about Paul supporters?

    I won't rehash it here.

Needless to say, Savage is a good button pusher, but he tends to always hit negative buttons. He's like a Death Metal band. I guess that's why he plays hardcore, old school metal on his show.

That's not so bad for a radio show (or a heavy metal band), but not much for serious, rational thought.

Please listen to that interview again, with this in mind... Paul is a lot more liberal ("liberal" like me) than you might think.

  2. Newt won't bite. He's a multimilionaire from DC influence peddling.

  3. Of course Newtie won't. But the point is made, it is valid, and Newtie should spare the nation his BS.

  4. You guys want to talk about Newt? Paul will give the nom to Romney! Paul sucks all Newt's energy out of the room.

If Paul were really true to his principles, he would start a third party, because you can not be Ron Paul today and honestly be a Republican. The Democrats have more in common with Paul.

Ron Paul always predicates his more controversial platforms by leveraging a heavy reduction in military and police state spending against fulfilling current promises and reducing future promises.

It is only that last predicate that bothers me about Ron Paul.

  5. JMJ,

Do you think Ron Paul wants to eliminate the military by weakening it financially, or that he simply does not want to see us as America continue to be The World's Police?

Do you think Ron Paul wants the enemies of America to beat us militarily, or do you think he wants to see a stronger, leaner, more efficient US military that equates to one of our guys worth ten of theirs due to better weaponry, training, and focus?

Do you think Ron Paul wants to see Iran have nukes because Paul secretly wants to see Israel get bombed, or is it that Ron Paul wants us to let Iran do what it wants, KNOWING that if Iran does, indeed, do something foolish with nukes, that we will easily reduce that country into a glass parking lot? (Let's be honest. If Israel or any civilized nation were to be nuked, whoever pushes that button has just condemned their country to death. True story.)

Honest questions, JMJ, asked with no snarkiness or the like. I look forward to your honest answers. I would enjoy seeing you throw your support to Ron Paul, if possible.

  6. JMJ, I'm neither a republican or a democrat. But rather a mam that votes on what he sees to be consistent principals in a candidate.
simply put, I don't buy into the Left vs Right paradigm...
Our nation has hit the snooze button too many times. We have to wake up to reality! Take an objective look at what is at stake!

  7. Chakam, you did not argue with what I said. Like I said, Paul has made it very clear that he would dramatically shrink the military. If that bothers you, and you really worry about the Bogey Man getting us, then Paul is not your man.

John, I completely agree that our bi-chromatic parties are inadequate for our multi-chromatic polity. I think Paul should run as an independent, and I bet he'd do pretty well, and bring some important arguments to the table in doing so.

  8. Failing taking the republican nomination Raul SHOULD run as a third party candidate. He could call it "The Limited Constitutional Government and Liberty Party,." :)

  9. JMJ,

Your inability to read proper English from my fingertips to your eyes simply does not cease to amaze me.

Did I say I was looking to argue with you? I was asking you straight-forward questions. I was actually looking forward to your detailed answers.

But, alas, none shall be forthcoming because....well, I reckon just because.
