The Republican Presidential Field Today... YAWN

Liberty -vs- Tyranny
The following video is interesting as well as at the same time providing little of conclusive evidence as to anything of importance. What is most interesting, at least in the discerning eye of one who values philosophical and ethical consistency is that no one in the republican race to the presidential crown has shown any such consistency or principled philosophy. Not that the democratic party {agenda} fares any better.
The question then becomes... Is it merely... It is what it is? Or... Is it WE can change the direction of the country we love in a positive way and direction?
One of conscience can only answer affirmatively to the latter.

All this is good news for Obama. A sane republican with real answers and willingness to work with others would win in a landslide in 2012. As my Dad used to say, "they pooped in their own punchbowls."
Ah my friend, what you speak of can also be said of the democratic party as well.
ReplyDeleteThe days of principled politicians becoming principled lawmakers have, for the most part passed.
When the 30 second sound bite replaces meaningful political dialogue, as is the case today, it isn't long before Nero will be watching as DC burns.
The title of a Rand book comes to mind... "Philosophy, Who Needs It"
I am betting that many in politics don't even care about such things any longer.
Perhaps We the People don't either.
