It's Wednesday... Off To The Casinos

Think I will take Wednesday off. The bride and I have been itching to visit the casinos and today seems as good a day as any to do so. Especially in light of the rather slow news week thus far. Or maybe it's just Casey Anthony and Debt Limit burnout. Whatever, I won't be posting today. Well, at least I don't intend to. Back Thursday, at least I hope to be.
Now, some fine Summertime jazz renditions as I sign off.

Les, while my favorite Miles Davis stuff tends to come from the 60s (the quintet with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tony Williams, and Ron Carter), I can always dig some of his earlier work, too; "Kind of Blue" and this fine effort (I love the way that he takes an almost overly familiar piece of material and make it seem new), especially. A nice break from the politics, my man.
ReplyDeleteWill - I agree on all counts. Indeed, indeed, indeed! Listening to these gives me many fond memories. Mkes me want to pick up my Trumpet and se if I still have it.
ReplyDeleteMan I miss the days was playing. Sometime I tell ya the story behind that one.
