Super Bowl Sunday

Ah, finally, Super Bowl Sunday 2011. That special day {occuring each year] when sports enthusiasts and football addicts can spend almost an ENTIRE day and evening immersed in all the hoopla of pre game, the game itself, and post game broadcasts and activities..
This, a day when even the political hacks, pundits, bloggers, and armchair philosophers can relax with friends and fellow football nuts. Eating and drinking to excess at one "Super Bowl Party" or another. Everyone hoping the game to be the best played of the season. It doesn't always turn out that way.
Putting aside what is likely more productive activities, and maybe more important as well, the enthusiast submerges himself {or herself} in the excitement of the build up to game. Followed by the game itself, and the euphoria, or let down, depending on which team you rooted for, at game end. For some the un-enjoyable experience of recovering from a hang over will await them.
Been there, don't that... Getting ready to go there again. So, all you avid Cheesehead and Ironmen fans, enjoy this most important day, you have earned it. To the rest of us whose teams failed to make the grade lets hope for a damn fine match up and may the best team win.
Rational Nation USA's prediction.... Packers over Steelers 21-17.
