Congressman Ron Paul Introduces HR 6414

Congressman Ron Paul once again standing up {and doing something} on behalf of the beleaguered American  citizen. Supporting them and addressing the ridiculous statism that threatens our very liberties.

Congressmen Paul introduced HR 6414 on November 17th following the TSA's use of  intrusive full body scans and pat downs. The belief these measures will prevent  terrorism or insure a safer more secure nation is at best just wishful thinking.

HR 6414:

A BILL – HR 6416

To ensure that certain Federal employees cannot hide behind immunity.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. NO IMMUNITY FOR CERTAIN AIRPORT SCREENING METHODS.
No law of the United States shall be construed to confer any immunity for a Federal employee or agency or any individual or entity that receives Federal funds, who subjects an individual to any physical contact (including contact with any clothing the individual is wearing), x-rays, or millimeter waves, or aids in the creation of or views a representation of any part of a individual’s body covered by clothing as a condition for such individual to be in an airport or to fly in an aircraft. The preceding sentence shall apply even if the individual or the individual’s parent, guardian, or any other individual gives consent.
Notice the concise simplicity of this resolution. Note also that Congressman Paul has been a consistent advocate for limited constitutional government, non interventionist foreign policy, sound economic policy, and balanced federal budgets.

  1. Hear Hear!!!

I only agree with Ron Paul about 50% of the time (strangely enough, I think it's actually a perfect, even, on-the-nose 50%). But when he's right he's right, and that's not a matter of "Right," but really just plain, ol' RIGHT.

I wish the Tea Party whould look more seriously at Ron Paul. If they did, this country may have a real shot at improving. If they instead choose to swing to the ideological Right, they will just become another wave of GOP establishment - and the Police State is a STAPLE of that. I'm no fan of Objectivism, but it could be the jolt to the body public we need. Remember, it means the end of the military empire, the most expensive thing we do. We could save a fortune and really build this country up, and pay a lot less taxes, if we just gave up the military empire. We don't need it. Ron Paul is and has always been RIGHT about that.

  2. JMJ - Hear Hear! While I am in agreement with about 75% of Ron Paul's positions, and I am a VERY strong advocate of objectivism on this we are in 100% agreement.

I won't split hairs here because we are essentially on the same page here. But if you look at social spending IE: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the rest of the unfunded liabilities I believe it the lions share of the problem.

Nevertheless I am in full agreement we need to slay the MIC, military industrial complex.

But before we do lets get the manufacturing infrastructure up and running again. Because right now the MIC is rapidly becoming our largest industrial manufacturer of durable goods. And decent paying jobs.
