The More Things Change... The More They Stay the Same

Are the Democrats facing the potential loss of a significant number congressional seats in November, and the ensuing loss of congressional leadership because the Republicans won't do anything to help the Obama administration's agenda or because the Democrats and Obama just don't get or understand the mood of the electorate.
I found the following CBS news segment interesting. It does give one much food for thought. What say you on the travails of the Democrats in the upcoming mid term elections?
Given all the expectations of the Obama "Hope and Change" mantra it seems like the more things change the more they stay the same. Only staying the same has just gotten a whole bunch worse, or so it seems.

The dem agenda over the past two years was a colossal overreach of historic proportions. America just ain't that liberal.
ReplyDeleteEven in the recession, a majority still say they would rather be free to help themselves than to rely on government.
Watching the decline and fall of the Democratic empire will be great entertainment.
As I said in a more recent post there rests a brief opportunity for conservatives (Republicans?) to get it right an govern in the interests of the people.
ReplyDeleteIt remains to be seen if it will happen. If not the Republicans shall deserve to become irrelevant.
