I Will Not Submit

Editors note: Rational Nation agrees with the principals Bastiatarian addresses in his following article as well as the dangers that worldwide statism (United Nations and Sharia Law)  present to the United States in particular and the world in general. It remains the position of Rational Nation that discussion of these issues is both necessary and desirable if we are to remain a free society. It is also the position of Rational Nation that combating any attempt to violate our rights must be done within the rule of law. Until said laws no longer represent our rights as individuals as expressed in our Constitution.

By: Bastiatarian

Update/Edit: I would like to make it clear that it is also my position that "combating any attempt to violate our rights must be done within the rule of law." I also agree that the line at which that obligation ends is drawn when "said laws no longer represent our rights as individuals as expressed in our Constitution." I do not advocate the use of violence until and unless that is the only remaining path of meaningful and effective recourse, and my intention was not to imply such. Accordingly, I have removed the relevant passage from the post. My determined unwillingness to submit to tyranny in any form, however, remains.

The other day, I read a report that began this way:
After a year of humiliating setbacks, United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon and about 60 of his top lieutenants — the top brass of the entire U.N. system — spent their Labor Day weekend at a remote Austrian Alpine retreat, discussing ways to put their sprawling organization in charge of the world’s agenda.
Yes, you read that correctly. They were "discussing ways to put their sprawling organization in charge of the world's agenda." Topics of the meeting included how to restore "climate change" as a top global priority, how to enforce global redistribution of wealth and promote the idea of "global public goods," how to increase the military presence of the United Nations, how to take control of the administration of immigration, and how to use technology to bypass the legitimate governments of nations and engage in activism directly with the citizens of those nations. In the reports from the meeting, the United Nations indicated that national sovereignty has been a major impediment to the implementation of its agenda.

In short, the United Nations is being very candid in admitting that its agenda is thoroughly and fundamentally a totalitarian collectivist agenda aimed at taking over the entire world.

Of course, anyone that has been paying attention to the policies and activities of the United Nations since its founding is likely to respond by saying "Duh!" The hard left bent of the UN has never been hidden. The United Nations is, always has been, and always will be the enemy of liberty in general and the United States in particular.

Which brings us to the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Like almost every terrorist attack for the past half century, the attack was planned and executed by a group of dedicated Islamists. That group was supported and cheered by millions of other dedicated Islamists around the world. Strict adherents to the teachings of the Koran have been slaughtering each other for centuries, and the Koran itself calls for the complete subjugation or execution of anyone that will not submit.

Such Islamists are using technology and other means to bypass and/or infiltrate the governments of sovereign nations and to spread their religion of death in those nations. They are attempting to eliminate such sovereignty and to take control of the property of individuals. The oppression--slavery, really--that people live under in strictly Muslim countries is there for all to see. Their goal? To take over the entire world.

What American's need to do on this anniversary of the terrorist attacks is not to simply put up a stronger defense against radical Muslims (in other words, Muslims that actually adhere to the Koran), but to put up a stronger defense against any individual or organization, domestic or foreign, that attempts to violate our rights to our lives, liberty, or property, in any form whatsoever.

I don't care what country you are from, what religion you follow, what color you are, what you political beliefs are, what you do for a living, who you have a sexual relationship with, or what you watch on TV. Stay away from my life, liberty, and property, and you can do whatever you want. As I have frequently said: Do what you want. Just do it away from me. Violate my rights, however, and nothing is off the table in regard to retaliation. If you violate my rights, you have chosen to become my enemy.

I will not submit, to the UN, to Islam, or to American "liberals" (of either major party). They are all the avowed enemies of the United States and of liberty everywhere, and should be dealt with in the harshest, most effective, and most efficient manner possible.

I WILL NOT SUBMIT.

  1. Fortunately, you won't be shooting anyone between the eyes based on those ridiculous criterium. So, that's good. And fortunately, there's no legally "possible" way of dealing with liberals in the way you'd apparently like.

Me thinks you need to rein in your paranoia.
