Speechless: John McCain's New t.v. Ad, "Complete the Danged Fence"

by the Left Coast Rebel

Flabbergasted. Speechless. Face-palm-cringing. I'm not sure that I have ever seen such a display of naked hypocrisy and ludicrous pandering this side of the radical left (Obamanation) attempting a general election.

Complete the Danged Fence
:

Allahpundit chuckles:

Consider this a preview of the 2014 “Re-elect Lindsey Graham” ad campaign, featuring Grahamnesty piloting a Border Patrol chopper and lending a hand on an oil rig.
Also via. HotAir, rewind just a few years ago, the danged fence was the 'godamned fence':
A day earlier, in Milwaukee, in front of an audience of more sympathetic businessmen, McCain had been asked how debate over the immigration bill was playing politically. “In the short term, it probably galvanizes our base,” he said. “In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics, you’ll pay a heavy price.” Then he added, unable to help himself, “By the way, I think the fence is least effective. But I’ll build the goddamned fence if they want it.”

This man deserved to lose, and lose big, in 2008. He deserves to lose even bigger in a few months. No, I take that back. He deserves to lose the AZ nominating convention vote and spare us the agony.

The Other McCain thinks that John McCain is simply a crapweasel. I think that's saying it nicely.

  1. John McCain is a real piece of work. Sad to see a man who was once {long ago} deserving of respect slip so far...

  2. A number of years ago I sent a letter to McCain telling him that I would never vote for him and that I would do everything I could to get him out of office. Not that he cares, of course, but I felt that integrity dictated that I make my stance clear.

The last time he was up for re-election, I wrote in my own name. I don't know that I would make a very effective senator, but at least I believe in the Founding Principles of our nation. That alone puts a knucklehead like me miles ahead of McCain.

  3. Bastiatarian - McCain ought to do this nation a favor... Gracefully RETIRE.

Since he won't perhaps the voters of Arizona will retire him through the ballot box.
