Russians Apparently See America's Danger More Clearly Than We Do

The following article was published in the Russian Newspaper Pravda. It is frightening in that a Russian journalist is able to speak the truth with respect to America's march to statism/socialism yet our own countries so called free press (and main stream media) cannot find the courage to speak the truth.

Perhaps those who have lived the tyranny of statism and socialism for the years the Russian people labored under their tyranny makes it easier for them to see what is happening to America. I sincerely hope, for my children, grandchild, and niece and nephews sake, as well as that of all liberty loving Americans the author of this article turns out to be wrong.

I fear the worst.

The irony of this article appearing in the English edition of Pravda (Russian on-line newspaper) defies description.  Why can a Russian newspaper print the following yet the American media can't or won't see it? Check Snopes link below.

American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy".  Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more than Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more than happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power.  Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America .

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama.  His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive.  His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America 's short history but in the world.  If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst  Zimbabwe .

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all.  First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars.  These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs, in comparison.  Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes.  Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another.  They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament).  Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company.  That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will.  Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies..  I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster.  Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "free man" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses?

Senator Barney Frank, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort.  He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is.  The world will only snicker.

  2. Considering that the article was published in April 2009 you can only surmise they were discussing the state of American economics immediately after 8 years of George W. Bush...

I too wondered why conservatives supported GWB and never noticed that he was bankrupting this country and destroying our economic system!

  3. @TAO,

Yeah, it was all Bush. Obviously. Of course. Because we all know Obama has righted all the wrongs of Bush by spending all our money. Of course.

    Next.

  4. Since the election of Ronald Reagan this country has been lowering taxes and increasing spending...for 30 years!

As Dick Cheney said about what Ronald Reagan taught, "...that deficits don't matter..."

For 30 years we have turned this country into an investors dream...and we have made Wall Street wealthy.

For 30 years we have slowly transformed our country from a society based upon the concept that hardwork and sacrifice was what made one rich to where everyone wants to get rich quick....day trading replaced investing, credit cards replaced savings, and we began to worship money rather than a job well done....

We used to believe that doing something well was its own reward....where the 'means justified the end' (like "it doesn't matter if you win or lose but rather how you played the game...") to now nothing matters but winning...

So now because a black liberal wins the presidency everybody on the right seems to have finally caught on and expects this President to stop what everyone has been more than happy with for 30 years...

Can't help but believe that alot of your anger is due to the fact that the shoe is on the other foot now...

Sorry....but I cannot help but believe we are way too far over the cliff to change much now...

  5. @TAO,

    You said:
"Considering that the article was published in April 2009 you can only surmise they were discussing the state of American economics immediately after 8 years of George W. Bush..."

But then you want to say it was all about the last 30 years of government.

Make up your mind, or are you too far over the cliff to change? You needed to blame Bush and then when I mentioned it you changed your tune. Man, I wish you were half as smart as you think you are. To me you're just another failed hippie.

To spare me the indignance of having to reply to yet another one of your uselss tirades, please consider this my last statement.

  6. Of course its your last statement..oh, and by the way I probably am a 'failed' hippie...as I missed that fad...

Nope, just a businessman that understands that growth comes from sales not tax cuts and sales create jobs not tax cuts.

Of course you don't want to discuss Reagan because he your god...but lets not forget that Bush was anointed his representative and he didn't do anything different...

Besides Obama still only accounts for 10% of the current deficit and Bush accounts for 53%...the other 37% is just a result of economic downturns...

But that is too many FACTS for your emotionalism...

  7. I found this article by a Russian journalist to be both sad and a warning.

Marx aside, this nation has made many mistakes with respect to it economics as well as it ethics.

Keynesian economic theory (deficit spending) won the day, and in this respect TAO is correct.

Had Reagan (who I believe in many ways was a fine man and President)understood that while during times of an economic downturn deficit spending makes some sense, there is a point when the deficit spending must stop. It would seem to make sense for the timing to coincide with the end of the recessionary cycle. GWB was a master at deficit spending. BHO will likely prove to me his match and more.

As to the dangers of the statist/socialist state. Looking at this through the lenses of history it is unquestionable that any country that accepts socialism and statism to the degree the USSR, and other totalitarian Communist states did will fail. Look to history.

The U.S. has been a socialist state, with a mixed capitalist system, since the progressives took power in the early 20th century fueled by European socialism.

What we are talking about is the gradual slide of the U.S. into socialism and statism over many years. The Election of Barrack Hussein Obama did not start the cycle and cause the problem, it already exited.

What the radical Obama will do, given the opportunity, is to push the nation further down the path to complete socialism and ever increasing dependency on the federal government. In absolute fact he has already started to do so.

It is all about power with BHO, (GWB) and most all politicians in this day and age. Sadly the journalist who wrote this is merely predicting the end result of our socialist, statist, and economic excesses.

There certainly is a way to correct this situation. However, to do it properly would take more grit, and the ability to handle pain than most of this country is willing to accept.

The return to fiscal sanity, a true unblemished capitalist system, ridding our government of special interest influence, ending government subsidies to business, requiring states to fund more of their own concerns thus lessening the need for federal taxes, reducing the size of our global obligations as well as our interventionist foreign policy... may be more than this nation is willing to acknowledge or accept.

I do accept it, and embrace it. Therefor I will continue to espouse the values in my Conservative Manifesto.

I gave you one TAO. Don't get used to it!

Donald, I understand and share your fire and desire to return this nation to a sounder and more prosperous footing. I realize, as you do, that a completely socialistic society is not what is best for this country. I also will continue to espouse these views until my last breath.

We as conservatives, and I know you understand this as we have spoke on it several times, need to accept the excesses that some conservatives in power were guilty of. Then find ways to lead conservatives back to the reasonable path that conservatives such as Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul are known for.

The one thing we ALL should be able to agree on is this... our country is in trouble. While it seems fairly certain the leadership is lacking AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT, we the people can, if we so choose, change this.

So Don, lets set about changing it.
